harvest metric not including request processing or network communication time

Hello
I would need a metric for latency (i.e. node_volume_read_latency) but it would include also the request processing and network communication. Is there something like that in the harvest?
Also I don't understand what is this metric measuring. Where it starts to measure the time and where it stops. Can anybody please explain?
Is there a plan to create mor detailed documentation for harvest metric?

that is exacly the place where I took the "not including request processing or network communication time" This dec is terrible. Explaining nothing.
