Hi there, I'm a bit confused about the internal cluster ports on the "good old" C800... per the manual, e0a+e0b+e1a+e1b should be connected to the other HA controller... but we have a setup where we only have four Cluster LIFs.. (e0a+e1a from each controller).. and a "network port show" shows me e0a+e1a but not e0b or e1b ? I can see the ports are up and have link with the "node run sysconfig -a" any idea why this is? (this is not a MCC, just a standard HA system)...

The e0b and e1b ports are used for High Availbility between the controllers. This is for both the A800 and C800 (they're the exact same hardware under the hood). That's why they don't show as usable network ports within ONTAP with the "net port show". HWU shows this:

And every A/C800 always ships with a X1146A card in Slot 1, with e1a being for cluster and e1b being for HA.
