#Can 3132q-v support 100G ports for A800 and C800
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The Cisco 3132Q-V is a 10/40GbE switch, it doesnt have any 100GbE ports. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/switches/nexus-3132q-v-switch/index.html
You can use 40GbE on the e0a and e1a ports for Cluster connections, but will need to use the X65402 QSFP+ for 40GbE MPO Optical, or the X66100 for Copper. I have a customer using the 3132Q-V as their cluter switch with multiple A800 HA Pairs, all connected at 40GbE for Cluster.
But, I find 40/100G in this link, confusing: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-systems-switches/switch-cisco-3132q-v/switch-requirements.html#cisco-nexus-3132q-v-requirements
Ugh ... yeah, that page is wrong. It shouldn't mention 100GbE anywhere on it. I'm going to suggest a doc update.
Doc Update submission has been created. https://github.com/NetAppDocs/ontap-systems-switches/issues/227
I didn't mean not to believe what you said, but, it just mentioned "40/100" many times in details
yep, you're right. That documentation is not correct. The 3132Q-V is 10/40GbE only. Even NetApp Hardware Universe and Cisco's documentation confirms that. I suspect the page you shared was mostly a copy/paste of the 9336C-FX2 page, and the 100GbE references never removed.
All good, thanks for pointing it out. Hopefully the doc team can update the page soon.
