We're deploying our first FAS70 today, and have noticed that only one set of rack rails is included for both controller chassis. Is this correct? There's only one set on the picking list, and I assume you just sit one controller on top of the other, however this seems less than ideal...

For anyone interested, it looks like a problem with the quote tool. It only includes a single rail kit for an HA pair. We've raised this with our local team.

The plot thickens.

According to HWU the FAS70 rail kit (for non-netapp racks) is: X5532A.

We've been shipped X-02659-00, which is the rail kit for the DS460C shelf.

So there's obviously a disconnect somewhere within NetApp between HWU / Quote Tool

The FAS70 of course will work with the X-02659-00, there's just not enough of them in the box. 🙂

We have spare rail kits so its not an issue, but may be for other customers.

@vast kettle no issue mate, we're a netapp partner and have loads of spare rail kits from decommissions etc. I posted mainly to warn other people. 🙂
