Hello, have an AFF A700 metrocluster IP with cisco C9336C-FX2 in production, and I need to upgrade from NX-OS 10.2(2)F to version 10.3(4a)M before upgrading the ontap version.

I have consulted the cisco recommanded upgrade path on their website, and i saw, that I need to go from 10.2(2)F to 10.2(8)M first and then from 10.2(8)M to the target version 10.3(4a)M.

I cannot see the intermediate version 10.2(8)M in the Netapp Interop matris, so can I do the ugprade in the cisco way and perform it in a two jump, but I will be in a non compatible NX-OS version during the NX-OS upgrade path.

What is recommended as upgrade path, for cisco switchs in MCC-IP

if you do one switch at a time, it should be fine, since the rest of the switches will always be running a supported version

Intermediate version NX-OS 10.2(5) is supported for MCC-IP, so if you want to be 100% sure you could use this path.

But 10.2(5) to 10.2(8) only have bug- and security-fixes, so I would actually use 10.2(8) and then immediately update to 10.3(4a).
