I am thinking this is something/bug with vmware 8x. has anyone seen this? (this is a description, the details are in an air-gapped network very far away from me!)
New Vmware solution. vcenter 8.0, current.
ESXi, current
ONTAP 9.14.1P8
OTV-9
Hosts have settings applied and VIB with a reboot
Two volumes are created, started with 5T. They are in a Datastore Cluster
Using OTV, the customer has increased to 75T.
According to ONTAP, they are 75T. I suspect if we look at the CLI, they will be 75T. The GUI still shows 5T
They have rescanned and logged out/in and the GUI still shows 5T.

Any clues how to fix this?
I suspect it gets corrected after a reboot (which basically re-mounts).
Looking for ideas! Thanks

I assume you tried to refresh capacity information?

Pretty sure that is part of the rescan. I’ll ask them

ah, is this a LUN datastore? not NFS? In that case I think you need to manually extend the partition to fill the whole disk... but it's been a while since I had to do that so it might have changed in 8.0 (or even 7.5)

OTOH I would have expected OTV to already handle this 🤔
