I'm curious if anyone has had any success, challenges, or gotchas they want to share with the process of moving several 100 SVM's to a new domain. Anything specific they ran into, gotchas, etc? Should this be a fairly smooth transition.
The SVM's are mixed protocol support but we don't have mixed protocol shares, it's either you access via SMB or NFS but not both. There is also no NFSv4 as of yet.

moving from one MS AD domain to another?
It's pretty simple and painless.
We have not moved 100s, but we have moved ~30 when we collapsed our domain structure.
Everything via the CLI went smooth with no issues.
But you do need to make sure your DNS, hosts, etc are all setup and working correctly

yeah, it's just a matter of joining the new domain. Your biggest issue is probably fixing the permissions, as the SIDs will be different in the new domain
