Hi guys, about you, metrocluster switchover is transparent to smb3 client with ca enabled?
thanks

it's transparent, but not nondisruptive even with CA shares. see here in the "Additional Information" section

too bad 😦 Thanks a lot anyway...

what's your use-case? Hyper-V? MS SQL?

#

there might be other ways to do what you need

Hyper-V shares

you could go SAN for those that require nondisruptive site failover (either MetroCluster or SM active sync, depending on the detailed requirements). However, usually when your whole site fails, a few seconds for rebooting VMs is not that much of an issue. For some applications you can also set up application-level redundancy one layer above the storage, etc.

Thanks for your suggestions.... we are moving in that direction 😉
