#Search for System ID returns no results on "My Systems" or for case creation

I don't think you would find AIQUM or SnapCenter over there. These products are not really tied to a certain cluster/node since you can add many clusters to it.
I believe OG is correct
I usually create the case using the SN of one of the clusters being used in the product. That's where the support is tied to. So as long as you have at least one cluster under support you will get support for AIQUM, SC, etc.
i can't search for any filers using system ID either... already checked this before i commented. i did create the case based on a filer serial number
yeah, you can create a case on both, system ID or serial number. It doesn't matter, both should work just fine
sometimes systems do not get registered properly, or if they were registered, it's possible that they get unregistered. It's usually a simple fix by opening a non-technical ticket
except a search for system id's returns no results for systems that get hits based on serial numbers, if i didn't make that clear previously
yes but I think I didn't make myself clear though 😉
For opening a case, it does not matter if you searched by serial number or by system ID. Both work.
It is pretty common that one of the two does not work, sometimes neither, it happens all the time, and can easily be fixed via a non-technical case
we have over 1500 clusters installed, and we have to fix issues like that on a daily basis
I was simply pointing out that a function on the website didn't work. I'm fully aware there are alternatives in this situation. I've been doing this a few decades myself.
I think I need to understand more about what’s expected and what’s happening so I can have the team check into it.
I’ll ask someone to pop in and read through the thread here.
