On the official site, this image is no longer available. I need to downgrade from version 9.3 because no one is able to generate me the keys in 28 digit format.

We never had the keys generated in 28-digit format, because no one was aware of it. Now NetApp can't help us because we don't have the service. And we can't buy the service because the hardware is too old. And so on and so forth.

On top of that, we are not able to do a downgrade, because there is no official image anymore.

And so we are left with a big paper button.

Of course, the only best solution is to buy a new one....

FAS2240-4

that supported a max of 9.1. how'd you get 9.3 on it? and why do you want to down rev all the way to 8.1?

That said, your ask is the same to the one on reddit the other week.

got ya. so i'm going to assume that person had some active controllers out there and they were able to get it with the help of their account team. worth an avenue to explore.

The guy on Reddit had previously generated keys and they were in the NetApp database. Mine are not.

Do you have a support ticket number that you can share?

Thanks. I see they provided the license keys, but not in the format you needed. Our rules are pretty strict on licensing, but let me ask around. I know I/we can't provide the software.

Are you the original owner of the system?

tidal escarp

yes i am

#

we bought it, I think \around 2014.

and I assume you want the clustered ONTAP keys so that you can try it out on existing hardware in order to evaluate its interoperability for a potential investment in new NetApp hardware, correct?

tidal escarp
#

yes, that's correct

Let me see what I can do

Any updates?

hello! I haven't had any luck - but I can try asking for a 180 day license if you'd like?
