you need the ONTAP PowerShell Toolkit. Try Install-Module -Name NetApp.ONTAP
I have installed the powershell toolkit before
Thank you!
I uninstalled it.
And reinstalled again and it worked
does anyone have any recent documentation for the install of the powershell toolkit please?
Hi @quasi frigate I have tried the command you suggested but using Netapp.Ontap it seems to do nothing, if i use DataOnTap ( from an old version of the guide ) it seems to download but i cannot import the modules.
It’s not finding the Netapp docs powershell module.
Have you tried doing what it said
Import-module NetAppDocs
??
PS C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules> Import-module NetAppDocs
Import-module : The specified module 'NetAppDocs' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory.

So you did not follow the installation guide.
Rtfm. They give different examples on how to install. Online and offline. I’ve done both and it listed the requirements
Read The “Fine” Manual
To be honest I couldnt find an installation guide later than 2011 and RTFM means something different to me.
If you are allowed, it is on the support site. It is allowed by netapp and partners to download. If you are not either, then you should ask NetApp or a NetApp partner to get you the netappdocslite module and hte install guide.
and rtfm can be a little more vulgar. I use it too frequently so I try to make it a little nicer
From that long ago (2011), it may jut not work well anymore.
anyone know if its supported on windows 11? install doc states Microsoft Windows 8.1,10, Server 2012 R2,
