#Snapmirror(vault) unavailable for new nodes without ICL lif.

Yes, every node in the cluster needs its own ICL. I don't think there is a way around that.
Aggr relocate could help but I guess the new node is not the HA partner of the old node.
It's not 🙂
I was hoping the traffic would be able to go throu the old node to the new node since we got several other icl
Here’s the thing. You are supposed to have a icl on every node for a full mesh. However, you might be able to get away with node to node meaning if you can move your source to a node with a working icl and move your destination to node with a working icl it might work
Snapmirror requires node to node communication.
The mesh allows any node to send to any node
wait, are you moving the volume between two different clusters or within one cluster? If you're moving within a cluster, from one node to another, you don't need Intercluster LIFs
but yeah, if moving between clusters you need full-mesh Intercluster connectivity
Im moving it within same cluster. I extended the cluster with 4 new nodes.
Then you do not need icls. It will 100% use the lifs in the Cluster svm.
Icls are for cluster to cluster communication/replication
Why am I getting the errors "CSM: An operation failed due to an ONC RPC failure." for each volume I move then :p ?
All the snapmirror update fails
His issue is not that vol move doesn't work. It's that snapmirror won't work after moving the vols since the new nodes currently have no ICLs (I guess cabling is missing or the VLAN is not available).
