Hi.

Others who have problems with the snapcenter plugin for vSphere, snapvault update does not always work after go from 4.9 to version 5.0p3 (vCenter v. 8.0.2), On tap 9.12.1p12

When bacup job i running, the job do not snapvault and timers out over time, then we get a backup error.

If we trigger a manual snapvault/snap mirror update, While the backup job is waiting for the snapvault update status, the job end with the status Backup Successful.

We allready have a support case open, waiting for status, Just wanted to know if others have the same issue

There is a known issue where the error looks like there wasn't found a snapshot on the snapvault destination... this is caused by a timeout value on the snapcenter appliance which can be raised... this is typically shown when there are many or larger snapvault updates...

#

If it sounds familiar, maybe I can dig up my old case

I think there's a flag somewhere to increase the timeout (how long the server waits for the transfer to finish). I remember having to set that for customers who only had a slow WAN connection to their Nearstore

changing the timeout value have we done in previous versions so that it can now take up to 12 hours before it fails.

From what I have seen so far, it looks like some issue around switching from ontapi to Rest API.

Currently we are running ontap 9.12.1P10 on Snapvault site.

Yes we also had the issue withg the ontapi -> restapi.. we ended up adding a value on all out clients that forced it to use one or the order (can remember)... let me know if I should try to find it for you?
