Hi all!
A customer did a re-install of Ontap 9.13.1P8 on an A150. System would not boot.
After setting bootarg.storageencryption.support to true and running option 9a, 9b and option 4 on both nodes, the system was setup again.
The knowledge base states: https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem/ontap/DM/Encryption/Encryption-KBs/What_is_the_correct_setting_for_bootarg.storageencryption.support_for_NVMe_SED_drives
bootarg should be false or undefnied. When try to unset the bootarg, the system does not boot with error 3: disk failed diskown.error.

So, basically, I need to keep the bootarg to true, to keep the system booting. But that is not what the kb article wants/needs/best-practice

Disk model: X358_KPM6V3T8ATE

Any advice?
Thanks! Martijn

these are NSE disks and require that bootarg to be set to true

the KB you posted is for NVMe drives, the ones you have are SAS
