#SNMP - Disable? Switch to v3?

We have enabled SNMP on all of our NetApp clusters over the years. Now I would like to either disable it if it's not needed, or change to v3 if it is for better security. Is there any loss of functionality in the following NetApp tools / features if I disable it? Is there any way to easily determine if it's being used in some way? I have only enabled it over the years because management recommended it 13 years ago :).

Active IQ
Active IQ Unified Manager (in particular the EMS Events functionality)
OnTAP Tools
SnapCenter
SnapCenter Plug-In for VMware
PowerShell Toolkit

if not mistaken nothing uses snmp by default, we have not enabled it on any of our systems and we still have the use of AIQ/EMS, PS Tools, etc.
SNMP is disabled by default, and only sends information to traps that you configure to receive them.
If you don't have anything specific that uses it, you most likely don't need it enabled.

the only group that I know of using SNMP is our network team

By default, cluster switches will use v2. I recall there being documents to convert to use v3

Thank you both! We only have 2 node clusters so no worries for us on the switches. Thank you, I will likely do some testing of disabling it.

We don't use SNMP for anything. We used to use ZAPI but that's being phased out for REST.

How do you get alerts for hw failures, etc?

all of ours are sent via email from the cluster

if you have that many failures and alerts, I would be more concerned about that.
