Port l2 reachability issue

Hi Team,

I have C800
On switch side we put 4 ports in various vlans
On Netapp all ports are healthy in default 1,2,3,4 broadcast domain
When I created data broadcast domain
And put ports in data broadcast domain , all ports goes to l2 reachable issue
Can you please help

may you can share some config details ? (switchside port config and maybe your vlan and broadcast domain config from ONTAP side).

If you are using ONTAP 9.13, upgrade to 9.13.1P8 or newer.
Most times this is a cosmetic issue introduced in 9.13. There are variants in other versions all fixed in latest patch releases.

There is also the case it is actually a real issue. I’d update ONTAP to the latest patch level to see if that helps

Hi Avi, did you do a broadcast-domain merge from the Default-1,2,3,4 into your data BD ?

Yes I merged them in my data broadcast domain

I am seeing a great issue on system manager , while I’m creating VIF using it even I’m choosing my data broadcast domain I’m can still see the ports from other BD

but if I’m run broadcast domain show it does not

Still suggesting you find out what version you are on so we’re not reacting to something that might be benign

Yeah. So even if you think you fixed it, you may still see l2 reachability problems that are cosmetic until you update to P8

I made vif and vlan and earlier vlan was showing healthy and now it’s degraded too
