Is there any way to use Netapp files luns as a san boot device on Azure VMs?

unless you are using the azure vmware stack i don't believe so.
There aren't any options in the normal azure settings to allow the OS/Boot disk as anything other than a managed option.
Unless it's hiding somewhere
