#Question about moving VSM to SVM-DR

I didn't see a place to specifically ask about snapmirror questions, so I am posting here.

I have a quite convoluted situation. I have multiple SVM's that are using VSM to replicate their volumes to a single SVM at the destination. DON'T ask, I inherited this 😉

I want to switch to SVM-DR, but would prefer to not replicate all the base-line data again. I actually may not have enough space.

I am curious if I can do an SVM-DR (exclude all the volumes), Then re-home the volumes into the new SVM on the destination, then re-sync? I assume there will be a lot of intermediary steps, but if there is a way to make this work it would be preferred.

Would this be possible?

this won't work for me as this is a many to 1. Meaning I have three svms that have VSM to a single SVM on the desination.

I would assume volume re-hosting will work

that is, if you can even re-host DP volumes. I never tried that 😉
