Hi Everyone,

I have FAS8200 in which I have created the aggregate with 22 NL-SAS disks (Capacity tier) and 8 SSD disks (Performance tier).

Now, I want to calculate that How much maximum IOPS I can get from this particular aggregate? How can I calculate or get the maximum IOPS details?

We generally don’t do a maximum IOPs calculation - multithreading will give you better performance than single threading, dedupe, cache validation levels for the flashpool etc

#

It’s more about configuring it for how you’re going to use it. If you have some high perf workloads and some low perf ones for example, sometimes a native ssd aggregate is the best choice

#

Or if you are using flashpool, tuning for data vs metadata

#

If you have many workloads, split between heads to get more volumes and more parallelism, if it’s general purpose CIFS, maybe fabricpools is right..
