hi team,

We are migrating data from one Netapp to other Netapp
On our source can not use vserver mirror as we already running with the snap mirror

So its volume based mirroring

As we are having 200 plus shares and we want to apply the ACLs for each

Some vol are in TB

Is there any way on Netapp or tool that can help us to push it

Many thanks

This was developed some time back, but it doesn't look like there are any open issues on the GitHub for CIFS share management.

What version of ONTAP on source/destination? You can have multiple snapmirror svm relationships, only one is allowed identity preserve true.

Maybe it’s worth changing it to false if that’s the case and set up a new one for the migration?

I helped a customer with 24 svm-dr (before it was renamed to snapmirror svm in 9.14, thanks NetApp) relationships

They were already using svmdr to another location. We still were able to use identity preserve to relocate locally and maintain the destination. After the primary relocation was done we were able to resync the destination with the new source.

Pretty sure you can flip the identity preserve. I think you may need to delete and recreate the relationship (keep the snapshot!) then resync.

wouldn't XCP work as well?

They both will copy data. I don’t think either would copy/preserve the shares

No the share details would have to be recreated.
