Hello, Looking for a best practive guide to provision our new shelf. Can you post a recommended link to a guide or suggest something. Based on the number of disks I purchased, 6, one aggregate for the lot. If I had gotten 12, I would have created 2 x 6 disk aggregate, one on each node.
Thanks

Well, I just verified my order and I actually did purchase 12 x 3.8tb disks. would 2 aggregates, one for each node be recommended?
I forgot to state I have a 2750 with 2 nodes.

What's the current disk config?

so the existing disks are SATA and the new ones SSD? Then yeah, I would probably do one aggregate per controller, but as TMAC said it depends a bit on the current config and your planned usage of the disks/system

sorry I think I might have been confused there 😅 🙈

I meant Mike of course but I was reading a reply from you in another thread before and mixed those up apparently ... I mean it is rather late over here so yeah, that's my excuse 😂

NGL, kinda an honor to be confused with TMAC 🙂

#

not sure how TMAC feels about that though 😉

We went with one big SSD aggregate with the 12x 3.8tb disks. If we went with 2 aggregates we would have lost 2 SSDs (one for each aggregate) for the root spare.
