Receiving a 'Shelves and Sensors' check failed and a SnapMirror compatibility status check failed during validation check, update will not proceed. I checked ::> system node environment sensors show and everything is showing normal \ good. we are snapmirroring to an AWS FSX instance on v9.11 and version matrix looks good. KB suggested to download new image and try validation again.....and it failed again with same errors. Looking for guidance here.....thanks

Open a case. Probably need to look at ASUP data.

shelves & sensors could be as simple as an unplugged PSU. Check the event log for any recent errors (filter for severity ERROR for example) that might tell you where the problem is

thanks.... also discovered some snapmirror target that was decommed and its relationships are type DP instead of XDP......trying to remedy this issue. I try to upgrade ONTAP every 6 months across our landscape and have had no issues during v9.10 v9.11 v9.12 upgrades until now with v9.13

Is it recommended to first patch to most recent v912.1P11 then go to v9.13.1P8 ? Still unable to get past shelves & sensors check during validate phase........... thanks

ok...to correct or bypass the shelves & sensor error during validate check.... applied a bug fix to the api-service and renewed internal certificates....so that stopping point is resolved.....now just the snapmirror compatibility status check is stopping the upgrade......

if you have DP SnapMirrors, these need to be changed as DP is no longer supported
