So we have an AIQ install running on Windows, password is lost as the previous person that set everything up is gone and none of the passwords in the list given to us work.
Trying to reset the password and the 'email' option doesn't work as the system doesn't have access to a mail server of any kind.
Can't login in via the command line with DFM, because nobody knows the account name or password used to set the system up.
So, how do you reset the password without being able to run the dfm login command?

That sounds like a support call might be required. But do you have the MySQL root password? I haven't touched the Windows AIQUM in years, but pretty sure you can reset the AIQ user password via MySQL. There are steps here: https://mysupport.netapp.com/site/article?lang=en&page=%2Fmgmt%2FAIQUM%2FActive_IQ_Unified_Manager_Update_fails_because_of_password_setting&type=solution
I'd check for other users, and change the password in there for that user.
if you can log in with a different user with the admin role in um, you can use the dfm cli to change the maint user password by logging in with the other admin user. otherwise it would be using mysql as chris said.
no passwords for pretty much anything, or usernames that we know of.
setup by a previous admin who left and all of the documents provided have pretty much no information about this system.
meh, was hoping it'd be a quick thing, but it isn't that big of a deal.
thanks
You can reset the MySQL root password: https://kb.netapp.com/mgmt/AIQUM/How_to_reset_the_MySQL_root_password_on_Unified_Manager_when_traditional_skip-grant-tables_fails
So there are ways to get into it, just a bit of manual work unfortunately
linux or the vapp would be easy. windows has to be different
