Hi... Team...
I feel so ashamed because I feel like I'm asking questions too often.

My customer bought a new storage Model FAS2750, and we configurate FC Protocol service with SAN SW.

There are eight ESXi servers, seven of which have ESXi 6.0 installed, and the other one has ESXi 7.0 installed.

and I configured Port Zone with FAS2750 FC ports and Servers Port 1:1.
and then I mapping LUNs to hosts.

However, When i typed ::> igroup show -v to check login status,
There shows only ESXi 7.0 servers got logged in, and rest of ESXi6.0 servers shows not logged in.

check below box, my LUNs normaly mapped.

I thought If I configured zoned wrong, and I put the wrong wwpn in igroup, so I proceeded with zoning again, and made igroup again.

So I suspicion a compatibility issue with ONTAP 9.14 and ESXi6.0.
Why the only ESXi 7.0 servers normaly shows LUNs?

What else should I check?

the Zoning is strange. Are the two SAN switches in different fabrics?

e.g. the WWN 21:00:00:24:ff:0e:ef:b5 shows up on both switches, while others (like 21:00:00:24:ff:0e:ef:21) don't show up at all

The group result value I uploaded before and the group result value newly uploaded are different, which is different because it was newly created in the process of checking the group several times, and the new content is the latest data

oh port-based zoning.... haven't seen that in a long time. I'm not really sure if that's supposed to work though, as the NetApp ports are NPIV. It does seem to work for some hosts though 🤔

I think It doesn't matter.. Because the one of ESXi 7.0 server recognizes LUN paths normally.

port zoning is used usually on MC FC on the FC switch you have RCF's directly for that that used hard zoning .

when you zone based on port and have npiv on you basically zone every wwpn ( including NPIVs) that spawns on the port to the rest of the port members added in the same zone

#

if you use switchshow most likely you have a brocade there .

#
