For some reason backups while using the snapcenter plugin for sql server has stopped working on my environment and I can't seen to find the cause, it states that the volume does not exists but I can make operations inside it (we have a lun in that volume) and I can take snapshots on the CLI
Steps that were taken:

  • Remove and add the host again on the snapcenter
  • remove and add the svm again on snapcenter

Steps I didn't do already:
upgrade snapcenter from 4.8 P1

Do you guys know what might be happening here? the volume still can do snapshots and is not limited by the max snapshot per volume limit.
I'm kind of lost and didn't find anything on Netapp KBs

Also, we are using FSxN for ontap

#

and it can also make snapshots of other volumes

It will be hard to troubleshoot that kind of an issue via Discord. Did you open a support case?
The logs should direct you in the right direction (SC and EMS)

Yeah, that's kind of my problem, I can't reach to netapp since I'm using an fully managed AWS product

#

I can try to open a ticket using the snapcenter license tho....

#

I just opened a post here in the hopes that someone else has reached the same problem before

To open a support case for NetApp SnapCenter, you need to have a NetApp Support Site account. If you already have an account, you can log in and create a support case. If you don't have an account, you need to register for support through the NetApp Support Site. Once registered, you can then create a support case for SnapCenter. You can do this by navigating to the "Create a Support Case" section on the NetApp Support Site and following the provided instructions. mysupport.NetApp.com
