Hey guys, im on a FAS2650 ONTAP 9.11.1P10 with the latest SP (5.11P1). Now im trying to upgrade the ONTAP to 9.14.1 using following upgrade Path:

9.11.1 -> 9.12.1
9.12.1 -> 9.13.1
9.13.1 -> 9.14.1
https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/bluexp-cloud-volumes-ontap/task-updating-ontap-cloud.html#how-to-upgrade

following message when trying to validate "9121P10_q_image"

"The following nodes are not supported: Netapp-01 (FAS2650), Netapp-02 (FAS2650)."
"Advice
Remove the unsupported system from the cluster or upgrade the controller hardware before installing the new software release."

any idea?

should be supported tho

you're confusing three things here. BIOS upgrades, SP upgrades and ONTAP upgrades.

You are trying ONTAP upgrades (9.11->9.13 basically, as 9.14 is not out yet you can't upgrade to that release anyway unless you want a release candidate)

The thing you are missing is that the FAS26xx series only supports up to ONTAP 9.11. You cannot upgrade that system to 9.12 or beyond, which is basically what that error message is telling you

@long pewter is correct. If you look at Hardware Universe, you can see that the 9.11 releases (up to and including the most recent 9.11.1P13) is the latest release that FAS2650 supports.

You're looking at the BIOS support matrix, and the 11.x BIOS supports newer versions of ONTAP because newer platforms (like FAS2750) are still supported. That doesn't suggest that your filer should be able to run that ONTAP, though.
