We need to migrate multiple TB of Windows shares from a Windows file server to ONTAP-based CIFS shares. How does XCP compare to Robocopy? We've done a ton of XCP for NFS, but haven't worked with XCP for Windows at all.

From my experience, it is usually a draw. Netapp can’t hijack the smb protocol like they do for xcp/nfs

a couple parallel instances of RoboCopy (if you can split up the data by toplevel directory or share) is usually as fast as XCP
