I'm seeing an odd situation on 9.12.1P7 where some storage efficiency settings are getting disabled on AFF nodes. For example, I'm looking at a 20-member flexgroup with only 1 volume having inline-compression, inline-dedupe, cross-volume-inline-dedupe, and cross-volume-background-dedupe all disabled. It's fairly random. Is there something in ontap that would turn this off?
I see this on multiple clusters.

Not aware of any issues. Did you check ASUPs from before the update to confirm efficiency was not disabled already?
I do send regular asups but haven't checked them to see if it started with 12.1P7 or has been there for a long time. I created a case and hopefully the tech can do that. I spotted it on the AIQ dashboard but it doesn't say when that alert was triggered.
Would anything get written to the event log when it gets disabled? I can search our syslog server if I know what I'm looking for.
There are audit logs in /mroot/etc/log/mlog/audit*
Maybe you can grep them. They are in ASUP in audit-mlog-txt.gz
Nothing in the audit logs on the node owning the volume.
It's a bug :(. It correlates with ontap upgrades and less often with other cluster events like a panic. Search your syslogs for sis.clog.disabled messages.
You have a KB or bug for this?
Not yet - waiting for confirmation that I hit that specific BURT and then he'll share the number.
