#SCV deployment - VMware tools

I'm trying to deploy SnapCenter for VMware vSphere and the documentation says to install VMware Tools right after deployment.
The appliance won't even boot without a VMware tools being mounted.

But here's the issue; the new VMware Tools package does not seem to contain the "linux.iso" requested, I think those are supplied by the Linux distro vendors themselves.
Anyone know how to install VMware Tools for the SCV appliance?

I've seen the tools iso missing after certain esxi upgrades/patches. Here is a VMware communities post that might help you ...

Not sure that is applicable, or maybe I am misinterpreting something.
But the bottom line is that the official VMware Tools package from VMware should contain the linux.iso required by the SCV boot process?

you can do it afterwards as well, mount the vmware tools iso , go the maintenance console, choose option 2-> System Configuration,9 -> Install VMware Tools. but yes, you'll need the linux.iso
