I have just loaded up a rack with pre-used SG5712 storage nodes. I have serial to both the E2800 and the Node, and the P1 ports are linked up, but the Node does not pull an IP. So I suspect that either it is not booted correctly, or the is some old config on it. It is possible to do a factory reset of the node from the serial connection? (I do not have the password)... I have access to the E2800 (also via web) and there are no volumes defined.
On the serial connection, I get a prompt on the node, but no pass ;-). I would just like to do a factory reset...

Well, there is apparently no way to factory reset if you have not patched up port 2 in the SG node... not in this case anyway... after that port was patched we got the nodes cleaned and ready for another stint 😉
