Hey everyone, we are looking at setting up a sysvol server at my organization. I have been asked if we use our e-series storage as the backend storage. Currently, that storage is used as cold storage for our Elastic setup. I know our Elastic team is happy with the performance but wasn't sure how live data would look on the drives. I'm not sure what the server is going to be yet, think this is just a probe for info from my boss but I assume it is a RHEL frontend.
#e series as a sysvol target

You can totally put your SYSVOL share/directory on an E-Series LUN. I'm not sure about the benefits since SYSVOL usually only does very little I/O (mainly login scripts and FRS) but sure, if you want to put that on a SAN LUN, go right ahead. No idea about Linux though, I assume that means Samba?
