I have an cifs share / qtree with ntfs permissions on a unix volume. Dont ask why, i was not responsible for the setup, the share containing 13.000 folders and 130.000 files and performance is very slow. I guess, main reason are the 13.000 folders but could also play the unix perm on the volume a role? We use ontap cvo 9.11.1p8 in azure. Any suggestion to increase performance?
