Can I mix a multimode (SR) with a singlemode (LR) sfp in one dynamic multimode interface group? Is there a limition on that matter? Both SFP's modules are 10Gbit.

I don't see why this shouldn't work

Don’t do it

The expectation of all members of a port channel is that they are they same. It may work but you may also likely end up with timing issues using different members.

It’s also expected that the interface to be used are the same make/model

this is indeed more important than the SFP itself

Which interfaces and why do you want/need to do this?

As @south cloak says - all ports should be the same. Start from there and try to sell us on why they shouldn’t be 😉

The reason for this is that the core switches are in different MER's (MER1=5meter (patch) and MER2 = 300meter Single Mode patched). I have the configuration operational and with a cluster peer ping below 0.2 msec RTT. I did some questioning inside NetApp but they don't see harm in this setup.
The adapters are the same and the SFP is just an 10Gbit connection, the only issue can be the transmission delay. And yes the documentation give some room for interpretation.

Additional : this is on SITE 1(MERA) the other SITE is on MERB. There are two separate DWDM paths and going from MERA1/A2 in SITE1 to MERB in SITE2.
