Recently deployed a FAS2720 with an extra disk shelve(DS212C).The controller was already populated with HDD's. The drives for the disk shelves came separately including 6 SSD's and 6 HDDs. and I inserted the first two columns with all the SSD's and the remaining with HDD's. Now my question is there any sequence to insert them in a manner that would make it easy for the OnTap configuaration while assigining disks to an aggregate.

It's mostly irrelevant in which slot you put which disk since ONTAP uses software-based disk-ownership.
