I just swapped the SG bucekt and retiered data to AWS S3. Then unmirrored SG from the aggregate. It's been 2 days now, it looks SG didn't release any space.

Is there anything else do I have to do, other than unmirror command as last step?
How do I check how much space has been reclaimed on SG gui, ONTAP, or any where else? I don't see much space been released from SG.

can't you just delete the bucket? that should free up the used space

No, that same bucket is shared with other aggrs as well.

only suggestion i have is 'storage aggregate object-store show-freeing-status'

the actual deletion of objects will take some time anyway
