#Faulted disk on a DS224-12 shelf \ FAS8200 node

looks like your disk had an aggregate on it, it wasn't a proper zeroed spare. You should be able to just delete that aggregate (probably not from the GUI though)
here's output....not sure about deleting aggr.....lots of other vols in use
and i may not be explaining it well
probably need to assign the spare to the node
try storage disk assign -owner BRCNACM01-02 -disk 1.10.19
check the aggregate again. is it rebuilding now?
hm, the disk has to be somewhere. it's not a spare anymore so I figured it should be rebuilding...
sync or resync not showing any activity ?
any other ideas here ? thanks
Do you have a support contract? It should be working, probably best to do interactive troubleshooting with support
Your node BRCNACM01-02 does not have any spares which fit. Reassign one of the following drives to node BRCNACM01-02:
1.11.14, 1.11.20, 1.11.23
Not sure what happend to your 1.10.19 disk though. Might simply be dead too.
Also what Alex said.
the disk was partitioned (P1 & P2) and not assigned to the same node....so it was unable to be assigned and rebuilt......plus auto assignment was disabled for these nodes (not sure how or why?).....had to execute some commands at the node level to be able to assign these partitions correctly which initiated the disk rebuild and completed.
