Hey guys, I had the privilege to update our Metrocluster with a minor update. The actual update went well and everything seems to be running fine, however I realized that within vcenter, some Datastores (Only on 1 specific DC Site) are now listed as double.

Example: The Original Datastore's name is datastore_ds02 and then there's a 2nd inaccessible datasatore called datastore_ds02 (2).

Anyone had a smiliar experience or knows what exactly happened here?

are you by chance using NFS 4.1 datastores there? I have only ever seen this happen with NFS 4.1

He’s using Kerberos as the reason for 4.1. If things are set properly with a private non-routing vlan then Kerberos is really not necessary other than to placate management

#

I know I’ve heard it’s been “fixed” in current versions but with so many issues I’ve seen, I really don’t trust anyone (Netapp or VMware)
