I am not able to find any kind of doc for the procedure to convert the 7-mode filer to a ontap 9 cluster, I know the requirements are;

4 ports of 10g to make the HA conexion [2 per node]
The license key in 7-mode 8.2.5P5 is 28 characters same as Ontap 9 [9.1P20 as per hwu]
wipe config, clean config
Also netboot procedure

Anything else?

with the 2240. you're pretty limited what it can run.
and I believe there is the requirment of the mez card.

You also need to have the licenses already converted. I don't think they allow to convert 7 to C licenses anymore on systems that are EOL/EOS.
