I have a max of 144 disks but want to extend the aggregate by migrating to bigger disks.

sorry that is not possible to do in-place. You would need to add a new aggregate with larger disks and move the data around. It will still be nondisruptive but you need more disks temporarily. If you're already at the limit that your system supports, you would need to temporarily add two nodes with enough capacity, move everything over, rebuild the aggregates of the first HA pair with larger disks, then move everything back. It will be online but it requires swing gear and lots of time

talk to your partner, they might have swing gear that they can give you for this process (I know we do)
