I don't totally understand the question - short answer is likely to be no. We used to have something called FlexArray which would let you use a collection of external FC block devices instead of disks behind your FAS, but we no longer support it because its importance to the market we pursue was no longer there

some people used E-Series behind FAS because they were slightly slightly cheaper than buying FAS disks, but we've mostly fixed that pricing discrepancy

FlexArray is no longer aviable for sale but supported for a few years.
