#Supportability of using snapmirror/Snapvault between a NetApp and a Lenovo system

I'll look for a public facing document both NetApp and Lenovo branded. In short, NetApp provides an FAQ to the NetApp field as well a channel facing FAQ that both state replication is prohibited and is an unsupported configuration. Hope this helps.
We don’t have anything public facing - but that’s basically it. It’s based on NetApp technology but it’s not a NetApp product, and snapmirror is only supported from NetApp to NetApp, and Lenovo to Lenovo.
Proving a negative is hard. So if you found a document that says it is supported, it would be ok to say that it works, but as you can’t find a document that says it works, you have to assume it doesn’t.
If you understand what I mean from a logic point of view 🙂
HI guys , worked for 16 year for NetApp so know the drill but the thing is that Lenovo sells it as an Ontap technology with same naming , they use the confusion to sell into accounts having NetApp already in place (sometimes at the edge) and it will most probably technically work so unless you have a document stating it is prohibited than you get stuck with a customer caught in a bad position .
I see @sharp wraith is in here - he's in a good position to take any action necessary on this. Thanks for your feedback!
