Hello, I’ve been reading more about ontap vol move operations. The netapps I maintain are version 9.10 and above. What is a good number of vol moves to run concurrently on physical netapps like the AFF and FAS models? I read 4 mostly but is that true even now. I am planing to automate the vol move operation. Thinking of taking into consideration 1) Ensure the CPU usage of the nodes are not crazy high(>70%) 2) No snapmirror jobs are running for the said volumes 3) No ongoing upgrades are happening for the netapp or in other words system is not in maintenance mode. Are there any other considerations to be made when trying to automate such a process? Didn’t find much info to read on this. Appreciate advice, suggestions and comments. Thanks!

Vol moves are a background type process - and ONTAP will typically cap the max at once to 8.
