#FAS8200, Amber light on on one of DS224-12 shelves

check power supplies, reseat shelf modules. I'd start there and eliminate those first.
What should we do to reseat the shelf module, push the bottom in the front of the shelf?
What's the output of -
system health status show
system health subsystem show
and this one -
system health alert show
whats the env one? system env status show ?
system controller environment show
Please find outputs as attached.
There seems SAS connection issues. The same error happened on all shelves on node-05, but only happened on one shelf on node-06. Which node has the issue?
do a
node run -node 05 sasstat expander_map
and node 06 as well.
Also, if you have support, i'd open a case at this point.
That reads like a failed shelf module, or a cable got yanked from the shelf.
In which case, yes, engage support so they can replace the module (*subject to your support level, of course)
- Three shelves are missing from port 1a on node-05. one shelf (#20) is missing from port 1d on node-06. Does that mean we have issues with multiple connections?
- Based on the output of "system health alert show", the error occurred on 4/13, was this the date when the issue started to happen or the error could be refreshed and occurred earlier than that?
- yeah it could be, for sure an issue on 1a on node 5 - and a single missing on and/or an IOM on shelf 20. Get support involoved.
- usually yes. if it happened before, it might have cleared the error and then it happened again. EMS should log it if it was there before.
if it has happened before, speak to support, riase an RMA and get teh part replaced
