Hello Community! Any suggestions based on your experiences to migrate data from onprem netapp clusters to google CVS

Have you tried BlueXP?

what workloads are you planning on migrate?

Hello, Perhaps I'm facing similar challange. So originally in my design for cloud migration I was going for CVO, however company's policies suspended that idea and I'm being pushed for CVS. Those who are familiar with both will know that CVO is well equipped with Ontap technology and BlueXP enables lot of features - that is totally opposite to CVS which gives, well, not that much... 😉

Problem: Data from on-premises file share hosted on NetApp should be synched (uploaded) with CVS

Solution A: Data can be synched/uploaded from on-prem share with CVS by launching synch script from Cloud Run, GCE or whatever.

Question for alternative solutions: I would like to avoid any additional synching scripts which in fact will require host to run. Does on-prem Ontap which hosts file share with source data can be set for uploading data into the CVS? Does Ontap has such capabilities? Does each AFF has BlueXP?

I'd contact someone on the Cloud team from the Cloud page to ask if they can set it up for you. It's still ONTAP at the end of the day.

#

Obviously that isn't ingestion, but it does illustrate CVS supports SnapMirror, without the super long recipts.

#

I don't see anything about ingestion.

will do that @dense carbon, thanks for your update. I will also put an update here once I get some info. Thanks!
