This error seems to be halting all progress. I am not a server tech, but the "hey you" guy. If someone could Barney style a fix for this I would appreciate it. FAS2552. On tap 8.3

#

I thought I made progress with setenv raid.autopart true, but then the message popped up later

how many disks are in the system?
and... what's the parter node say ?

acoustic coyote
#

24? Loader A and B are identical

If it’s a wipe new. There’s a few things to do though.

I finally got the server team to give me a hand on Tuesday. I'm the cybersecurity guy but finding out I'm gonna be a bit of everything. Our hardware is old and difficult to find support. I appreciate any help.

can you post "printenv" from LOADER-A and B> ?

reef python
#

And have you tried an opt 4 from each node?

acoustic coyote
#

I'll get the printenv this morning. Option 4 from the boot option? Yes. Both end right back at the screenshot above with the auto part error

When it boots you should see "Ctrl+C to Maintenance Menu" and that's where the option 4 is

Output after selecting option 4

Then just goes into a boot loop

#

No wipe

And you’re got the other node sitting at the loader? What model disks are in it?

reef python
#

might be worth booting in to maint mode to see a few things. (boot opt 5)

#

check disk ownership, remove ownership, remove any existing partitioning. etc..

#

I would boot into maint. mode, delete all aggregates from both controllers, remove ownership from all disks and try again. Usually the system should pick up the right number of disks if they are all unassigned

What if I swapped out all 24 hard disks with a netapp we arnt using? The other netapp is missing a loader.

What if I pulled the loader out of this one I'm trying to fix and throw it in the one that is missing it? Is it plug and play?

feral onyx
#

if it's the same model, you'll need to run option 7 I think, load config from disk

#

if it's a different model it won't work

acoustic coyote
#

All the same. I have 5 stacks. 3 "work," 1 caked with dirt I'm gonna clean eventually, and one might be just for parts. I'll check out the possibility of a swap in the morning. Really tired of trying to figure this out.

@feral onyx Also, are you referring to me swapping the disk or the loader?
