You can disable oplocks, yes, but not without introducing risk to your environment.
May I ask instead what you're doing with a UNIX security folder within a CIFS share? are you mixing access models purposefully?
It's multiprotocol. not mixed, this is unix security with CIFS share on top of it so that Windows Users can access the content provided by the application. Not purposely, but I have a large internal customer base and we do a ton of multiprotocol.
