#Can SnapCenter running on EC2 to Back up Oracle DBs on NFS FSxO/CVO volumes directly to AWS S3?

SnapCenter will take snapshots of the Oracle DB's on the FSx for ONTAP or on the CVO instance. SnapCenter does not have a native way to move data from FSx or CVO to AWS S3. There may be ways to move the backed up data using Cloud backup, but it would be a two-step process.
@agile grail Two steps should be fine as long as the backup data won’t stay on local tierer as the intermediate storage on FSxO or CVO between the databases and object storage. Check out this : https://youtube.com/watch?v=7JjD5jY-iMM&feature=share
Do backup data need to stay on the local tierer ?
Learn how Cloud Backup for Apps transfers app-consistent backups of the MSSQL database taken by SnapCenter to AWS S3/Azure Blob object storage.
NetApp Cloud Backup - https://www.netapp.com/cloud-services/cloud-backup/
The backups will be stored on FSx/CVO first, but you can use retention polices to delete them after they are transferred to the S3 bucket.
There's also a new offering: Cloud Backup for Apps (Hybrid) which integrates SC on-prem and Cloud Backup
• Supported Apps - SQL, Oracle, HANA, Applications over VMs – SQL and Oracle
• Supports backup from ONTAP primary and secondary.
• Cloud targets: AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCP, storage-grid and deep-archive
With the new offering you said sounds similar to the youtube video, in this case, the backups will go to AWS S3 without storing on FSx/CVO first. Right?
