#Aggr create fails: Not enough spare disks

Can anyone explain to me why this aggr create command is failing? It's saying that I don't have enough spare disks on the node, even though I have 48 eligible partitions. I've tried leaving out some parameters, and I've tried using less disks, but it still gives the same error each time. But, if I go into System Manager and create it from there, it creates it exactly as I had intended (with 2x23 RAID groups). What am I missing? This is OnTap 9.8P15.

See attachment for CLI output.

Did you try the aggr create without the disksize? The error you're getting is usually when it isn't finding any matching disks.

I think you need to provide the size of the full disks not of the partitions if you want to use the disk size parameter. I would simply try it without it.

Also check out: storage aggregate auto-provision
It's great

2x of those 50 partitions listed are P3 (root) partitions

#

so really, you have 48x available

You cannot mix P1 and P2 partitions of the same drive into the same RG, but you can in different RAID groups of the same aggregate.
