#Deleted resource locks Resource group

I deleted a couple of resources (databases) from a MSSQL Resource group in Snapcenter 4.6.
The resources are marked as deleted and there's an information bar telling me that the Resource group is containing deleted resources and that they will be excluded during backup operations (this is good, I guess).

However, when I want to add a resource to the same Resource group or change that Resource group in any way (like changing the Notification settings) I get an error saying:

"Failed to update resource group: Resource (<server>\<database>) is not a valid Resource Group resource."
Server and database part is the server and database I removed from the resource group.

I wonder if I missed something when removing the resource from the resource group.
What can I do about this so that I can add new resources?
And how can I prevent it from happening again?

If I miss interpreted your question, please correct me, but I think you meant, you removed a SQL database, it shows as deleted in resources (SQL databases) UI. Right? if so, yes you should also remove the deleted database out of the resource group when you modify it. A way to not have to do this (prevent) is to protect the SQL server at instance level.

Sorry yes, you are correct. Unclear wording from my side. Database was removed from SQL.
But even if I remove the databases from the included resources of the group, I can't save the modifications.

ok, just tried to repro, and I get 'Resource group contains deleted resources and these resources will be excluded during backup operation' and I can still edit.

Probably best that you open a case, or if that is not possible, you can try to remove the resource group with force (you will loose all backups)

Ok thank you, at least it doesn't seem like I did something wrong then.
