Moving Volumes from FAS to AFF

What is the best method to gain efficiency on volumes when moving from FAS to AFF in a 4 node cluster? Set the volume to thin, do the vol move, set the volume efficiencies up to the AFF default of a new vol, then run commands to rescan using the updated efficiencies?
